You really had such a positive impact on so many people around you Dean. Every gym class you led was always filled with laughter and some sort of slagging. You helped me through a lot fitness wise and my own struggles and for that I’m forever grateful. You were a true gent, checking in regularly and making sure all was good. I’m glad we got to know each other in the last few years. Your family and friends are in my thoughts and prayers.

Dean, you've been an incredible pleasure to know and live with over the last 3 years. I'm especially so grateful for all your help in recent months with letting me move back in after I returned to Ireland. I'll never forget the amount of hours we've all lost together at the kitchen table thanks our random conversations and rants, the amount of laughs the two of us had over the most stupid things, and even taking the time to listen to all my guy drama.

There's so many other things I would love to say but that wasn't us, we never did emotions and I know you'd deck me for even saying all of this right now. Our closeness was silent and something we would never admit out loud to each other. But it was always there and something I really appreciated. I hope that wherever you are right now, you have found happiness.

Will miss you so much and sending so much love to the many, many people who are heartbroken for you right now.

Until then, to quote you every time you said goodbye, "PEACE!"
— Zack
A few years ago my younger brother was in hospital after overdosing. Dean drove the other side of the city (even tho he wasn’t even from there) to pick me up and bring me to a wrestling show so that I wasn’t left on my own while my family was at the hospital.
He was my tag partner that night and I had one of the most fun I ever had wrestling. For a few hours he helped me forget about everything.
It’s something I’ve always been so so grateful for and will never ever forget.
So appreciative of everything you ever did for me.
Can’t believe you’re not going to be sending sneaky replies to all my instagrams making fun of me anymore. 💔💔
Hope you’re at peace.
Lots of love to all your family

Dean (Hun),

There are so many words & so many things I would like to share, (many of which are wildly inappropriate for this forum) to round up our friendship, but it would be an essay of emotions & we all know how uncomfortable those made you feel!

You’ve been an incredible friend, a hoot of a housemate & a general pain in my arse for the past 3 years & I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Thank you for everything; the hugs, the love, the laughter, the music, the DMC’s of a Thursday & a Sunday over meal prep, the helping hand with anything I needed, the coffee walks, the airport trips, the movies & the sheer ability to know when to crack a joke & when to listen & comfort.

Your cheeky smile, quick wit, dark humour & playfulness made up for your complete inability to keep a kitchen counter clean - you were absolutely impossible to stay mad at! And you caught me in a headlock fairly quickly if I ever tried!

I’m heartbroken for so many people who will miss you, but especially for the main woman in your life - your Nanny Peggy. She was a legend in our home thanks to your stories & obvious love for her.

If I had of known our last hug was the last one, I never would have let you go. But I hope that you’re finally at peace & reunited with your Grandad, who you missed so much.

Thank you for everything - I’m so grateful to have known your gorgeous soul.

Love Always,

Babs

A lovable cheeky chappy with a heart of gold. Always happy to help even when it wasn't his job he would always chip in if it meant he was helping someone. Never saw him without a smile even after rediculously early starts and gruelling travel schedules. Dedicated to his craft whatever that was at the time. Rest in peace fella and my condolences to family and friends.

I am shocked and deeply saddened to hear about Deans' untimely death. Dean was an incredible coach to me during my time at DSC Gym in Lucan. We also shared similar musical taste, so I always enjoyed his gym playlists. He was a true gentleman and a good friend to me, particularly when I was going through a very tough time healthwise in late 2022 and early 2023. My condolences to his family. RIP Dean
— Damien Mc Donald

I will always be grateful to Dean for the times we shared. He was a truly good person who always had time to help those around him. I won't go into detail, because anyone who knew him knows just how caring a person he was.

Life is cruel, Dean had so much love to offer to the world. His brief time here made the dark days a little brighter.

My condolences to his family at this difficult time. I hope these wonderful messages are a source of comfort as you mourn this awful loss.

Rest well, Dean. Thank you for all you did not just for me, but for everyone who was fortunate enough to meet you.

— Sue
I can never express to you how much Dean impacted my life. I met Dean in February of 2022 through wrestling, and he was one of the only people I’ve met that truly understood me. I was fortunate enough to wrestle dean many times and fortunate enough to share the ring with him as recently as April 2023. Dean was great to be in the ring with, but even better to have backstage. On multiple separate occasions dean spent 2 hours of his time helping me through hardships. He regularly rang me to ensure I was alright and was always the first person to message me when I needed it the most. He spent hours talking to me about wrestling, the gym and whatever else we could talk about on long car journeys. Dean has impacted my life forever and has helped me when I thought I was beyond help. I will treasure my memories with dean for the rest of my life, I miss you dean.
Sending all my love to your family and loved ones

Sincere condolences to all of Dean's family and friends. A young man, gone far too soon. Wishing you all strength to get through this terrible time.
— Darren O'Byrne
To me, Dean was first and foremost a dear friend. He was kind and funny, committed totally to his craft and tremendously loyal and caring. If only the same could be said about all of us who knew him.

He made me a better person. More fit and strong for sure but also more rounded and calm. He went out of his way to help me succeed; enduring (very) early morning training sessions, bringing calm to my temper tantrums and guiding me along a growth path, week in week out for the last four years. In the midst of all this he started training my wife Brid. I can’t speak for her but from the outside he transformed her as a person too and without a doubt training together with him made our relationship work at the most difficult of times. I firmly believe I wouldn’t have navigated all of these last few years as successfully without him.

I really hope I did my best to express how grateful I was for all of this and I’ll miss him more than I think he could ever know.

May his auld triangle always jingle jangle all along the banks of the royal canal.

Rest In Peace
— Jack Berrill
Looking at your son's beautiful smile tells me he has a heart of gold. Reading all the messages from people he met and looked after, your son has left his mark on each and everyone he met. I wish i could have met your Dean.Remember all the good times he leaves behind. You now have your own guardian angel watching over you. Fly high with the angels Dean and rest in eternal peace
Forever young if love could have saved you, you never would have died❤️
