Heartfelt condolences to the Moroney family on the sad and untimely passing of Declan.
I have had the privilege of singing with Declan at 12:30 mass and through many wonderful events with Credo. I was always aware of his talents, especially his use of words or his guitar accompaniment. But his greatest talent was his level of preparation before every performance - the sound, choice of hymns, lyrics and the bottle of water only enhanced the occasion.
But i am looking at the tributes and condolences here in RIP, and realising i may not have known Declan as much as i thought i did. But i know my memories of Declan are all happy memories and my life was better for knowing him.
Rest in Peace Declan 🙏

Heartfelt sympathy to all on Declan's passing. Many's a laugh we shared at the coalface in the Irish Mail on Sunday/Ireland on Sunday. Among his myriad talents, he was a great man to rely upon when the going got tough. We often spoke about hiring a camper van some year and following the Tour De France but, typically, life got in the way. May he rest in peace.
