on the passing of Denis. I have fond memories of him that go back many many years ago.

Our heartfelt condolences to Denises family, from the Obrien family in North Yorkshire England.
We will always be grateful for the warm hearted greeting that we received when we met you 10 years ago , thank you for leading us to our family roots, your knowledge of the area and the people that you obviously loved serving , led us to find our family once again , we will never forget you and your brother for the kindness you showed us when we visited later, we will miss that when we come to Ireland ‘our home’ as you put it, in the future.

Knocktopher will not be the same! For more than 60 years I have visited the village and called in to Heaslips. So many times being greeted by Tim, Mary Therese and Denis and never a once a bad experience in the shop. Always a welcome and never once did I hear a bad word spoken by them about anyone. They will be missed. I would like to express my deepest sympathy to his family and friends on the death of Denis.

So very sorry to hear of the passing of Denis. I have such fond memories of calling into Heaslips after Mass and how kind and welcoming Denis, Tim and Mary Teresa always were, how a bar of chocolate was regularly popped in the mother's grocery box for the child, and what a treat it was to be allowed to go into the back of the shop which was like an Aladdin's Cave to a small person.
