Dear Anna Fiona,

we feel all really sorry for the loss of your wonderful father, Denis, and would like to express our sincere sympathy. We will always keep Denis in our minds as a joyful and energetic man that loved singing Irish folk songs on the family weekends and taking walks through parks. His curiosity about the younger generations and topics as human evolution were inspiring to us!

Given Denis' joyfulness, we believe that this saying is true for him: “Perhaps they are not stars, but rather openings in heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy.”

We will always feel deeply connected with you, Anna Fiona, and keep Denis close to our hearts.

Denis was such a caring gentleman. My Mother Pat Williams, who passed away on 11th September, was very fond of him.

Dear Anna Fiona: I am so sorry to hear of the death of your beloved father, Denis. I only met him a couple of times, but he was a lovely man and struck me as being a great character. I remember, particularly, he gave a beautiful and moving eulogy at the graveside of his brother, Brian, a decade and a half ago. May he rest in peace. We knew Denis through Blessington U3A and he will be sadly missed.

Our last, lovely memory of Denis is sitting with him in Blessington Bookstore as he talked to his friend Dan and ourselves about the stars.
