I have so many memories of Uncle Denis and his voice, his stories, will always be in my head. From my youngest days going to the farm and hours spent exploring the land and the barns. He loved the land, he loved his cattle and was proud of his years working as a butcher. He would spend holidays with us, always arriving a few hours late. And cards, he taught me a few “strategies” over the years.
Sincere condolences to my cousins near and far. Your dad, my Godfather, was a gem. 🍀
— Julie Devers
Sincere sympathy to Uncle Denis' family, Aunt Eithne & Aunt Noreen on his sad passing. We have great memories of our visits with Uncle Denis when we were always sure to be highly entertained. A tour of the farm was followed by an afternoon of story-telling, fun and laughter. He was great company and always in good form. May he rest in peace.

Sincere condolences to uncle Denis’ immediate family on his passing. We have very fond memories of him. He was a great character and tremendous story teller who had some great yarns about the “old sod”. We had a lovely visit with him in the Autumn of 2016. May he rest in peace.
— Marie & John OBrien & Family, Patrickswell
One of my earliest recollections was traveling with my mother by train to South Bend to visit "Dodo", as she always fondly called him. I was very sad to learn of uncle Denis's death but also grateful that we were able to visit him at Notre Dame in July 2019. Sending sincere condolences to the family.

I fondly remember my visit to his farm in the summer of 2006. He proudly showed Rex and myself all around. We discussed everything from his Scottish Highland cattle to his desire to get the barn painted. We saw him again in the spring of 2016 and although he had left the farm, he looked great and was happy to play cards. My mother always commented how Denis drove her crazy as she worked so hard in school and “the books” came so easily to him. My sincere sympathy to all of you.
