What a larger than life character he was. He remembered everyone, including the childrens names, and made each visit to his beloved Shelbourne hotel so memorable.

The O'brien, our neighbours were fantastic friends to us all growing up.
Denis was always there for myself and my other siblings for advice or bit of craic.
I met him in the Sherbourne a few times for a coffee and a catchup.
He was always there for me, any advice or an ear to listen. He was loved by many with whose path he crossed especially in his work.
