My sincere condolences to Marie, Nicole and Sarah on the tragic loss of your beloved husband and Dad. He was devoted to you all, Derek was such a proud and lovely Dad. It was always a pleasure to meet him in St Louise's. You will miss him terribly. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.

Derek really was a terrific guy with a great work ethic but more importantly an ability to connect with people through his good nature and razor sharp wit... don't know how many times I heard him say "boom boom" after one of his jokes!
It was such a pleasure to have known Derek and I will remember him fondly and smile to myself as I think of times spent together.
I sincerely hope that despite the grief you feel now that in time you will be able to do so too, as I’m sure this is what he would have wanted for the family he was so so proud of.

Derek was a charming mild gentle person that I have had the pleasure also privileged of knowing and working with, as we were in Yanbu.

Very few people you can call a true friend for over 40 years, hard to believe you are no longer with us. We had some wonderful and interesting times....

I am very sad to here about derek mc nevin as we worked to gether in the construction of huntstown powerstation a very good tradesman and hard worker my deepest sympathy to all the Mc Nevin family.
