Dermot was our next door neighbour in Templeroan when both couples were embarking on our married lives. We couldn't have asked for better neighbours and have stayed firm friends for 35 years even though we moved to Mayo. I regularly stay in the Doherty's warm and welcoming home and have been waited on by Dermot so often. A kinder and more selfless person you couldn't meet. The Doherty's are a wonderful family and they will hold and carry each other through this sad time. Lots of love to my dear friend Theresa, Leah, Megan, Andrew, Matt and Kate.

I remember you both as a younger couple and parents of your young children in those early years in Templeroan. It was so lovely to meet you both again, still so happy and together last December and again this past July.
