Shocked snd saddened to hear this news. I have the fondest of memories of Derry in Pandoro where he worked with my father.
Derry also thought me how to shoot a rifle which he later virtually gave me, he had great patience with children. He was slso great fun.
My first dog was s lovely pup Derry also gave us.
A real gent and a great friend.
My deepest condolences to all concerned.

We were so sorry to hear of Derry's sudden death. We have known him for all his time in Carrigwood. A gentle man and a very kind neighbour. Our dog very often went to the shops with Derry and also if we couldn't find her she was in with Derry being fed. May he have peace now. Vera and Tony

The Firhouse Men's Shed were deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Dermot Grehan. 'Derry' as he was affectionately known was an active member of FMS. He was a regular participant and contributor to the weekly Zoom sessions during Covid. He also enjoyed the regular weekly walks around the Dodder Valley Park with his fellow shedders. The FMS lost a valuable member when he moved to Booterstown. We would like to extend our heartfelt sympathy to his brothers and extended family at this very sad time. May he Rest in Peace.
