He was a great boss and mentor and we had many happy days together. He loved a joke and a funny story and I know he didn’t mind that I used alot of

It was with sincere regret that I read of the death of Dermot during the week. He worked with us in LIT for many years and was a wonderful educator, colleague and gentleman. I recall his Retirement function where we shared many experiences and I was sorry to see him retire. May he rest in eternal peace.

Sincere condolences to the Lahiff family on the passing of Dermot. He was one of my lecturers in LIT back in the 80's. He was a lovely man. I still remember him writing TGIF on the blackboard every Friday as the weekend beckoned.
