To Marie, Fergus and Family.
Dermot & Sean Conlon employed me in my first job in the electrical industry back in 1976 and I believe it was certainly a stroke of luck for me. The grounding I received in the following years was second to none under their stewardship. Dermot was always an excellent and fair mentor for me and I owe him a lot for those formative years I spent in EEW.

Rest in Peace Dermot.
Sean

For all of my life, Dermot was one of those people whom I looked forward to seeing. As a child, he was generous with his humour and with his few quid for sweets or beers as I got older ! He never left a conversation without a funny story or a joke, that is something I will miss.

While I didn't see him much in the last 20 years, when I did he was always eager to hear how I was getting on, how my family was, how the challenges of life were affecting me and while always trying to be light hearted - he often said some small thing that made me feel more at ease and that he was genuinely listening.

I will miss those catchups but I know he will live on in his four children and his many grandchildren.
Rest in Peace now Dermot.
Love,
Niall
