Sincere condolences. Lovely memories of rehearsing with Des when he took 8 of us from the folk group in Ballyboden to sing carols on John O’Donoghue’s programme in RTE around Christmas 1981. He was a lovely gentleman. Rest In peace.
Una, Barbara and Audrey organised the most beautiful send-off for husband & father Desmond on Friday 13th January 2023 - a very emotional service with incredible music and a soloist that Des would have been overjoyed to hear. A richly moving, serene and uplifting mass for someone who deserved the best farewell. I will miss you, Des, please rest in peace. Love Tony

So sorry to hear of Des’s passing, Una, Barbara and Audrey. I only met him the few times but he was a joy to be around: playful and impish, always something interesting to say and very obviously a wonderful husband and father — and grandfather to Jack. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.

All our love and sympathy to you Barbara, Tony and Jack at this sad time. I've loved getting to know your Dad over the years Barbara, even if just through your lovely stories of his musicianship and creativity. A life well lived and well loved. To Una and Audrey, our deepest condolences. From Amanda, Alan, Tom and Florrie in St Margaret's, London.
We are sorry to hear the sad news of Desmond's passing. He has been a great neighbour of ours for many years. He always had time for a chat, with lots of stories, and he had a great sense of humour. He will be sorely missed. Our condolences to Una, Barbara and Audrey.
