Des was a friend from schooldays, a golfing friend for many years and in latter years a friend to go walking with. Was aware of his long illness but was so shocked to be told of his passing. I will miss him sorely and I extend my deep sympathy to his daughter Audrey and all his sons. I will always remember him with deep affection.
