I finished a book on the TALBOT family last October Des had played a big part in it. I never met him, we spoke on the phone . I was really looking forward to presenting Des with his copy in December but he was not well, so I gave it to Nuala for him for Christmas Day. I was so shocked to hear of his sudden death yesterday.
