So sad to read Desy has gone to his reward in heaven. Always gentle words a friendly smile any time we met through the years. Always willing to be helpful in any task i asked of him in mid 1980s towards children's or towns welfare. Sincere sympathy to all the family..

Sorry to hear that Desmond has gone to his reward. My sympathy goes to Carmel, Hugh P., Noel, Teresa and Kathleen and the extended family. I used to meet him in the 1970's in Dublin, and more recently in Carn, and he always had wise words and a smile to share.

I have fond memories of Dessie's time in Dublin way back in the seventies when we assembled in the Rathmines Inn {occasionally} and Club Zhivago.
I used have to use foul means at pitch and put to distract Dessie to have any chance of beating him.
May his gentle soul rest in peace.
