What a lovely lady Detta was and on reading through the condolences, she clearly touched the hearts of so many in her long & fruitful life.
Celine, it was always a pleasure to meet her and your Dad when they popped in to say hello to you, usually on their weekly trip to town together and later after your Dad passed, to see her keep up the tradition for a few years more.
Sending you love and hugs and wishing you all ease & comfort at this very sad time, especially in the coming months.

As a young fella, I have fond memories of Detta along with her parents, the Glackins, visited our Mam, Bridget, in Fox's Bar, Forster St.. It was an annual visit when everyone home for the Races would meet up for a bit of music and singsong. They were innocent times and were the highlight of the year. They are etched in my memory forever. May Detta rest in Peace.
