Sincere condolences to the Nephews and Nieces of Miss MacKenna. My late Mother's Home Ecomonics Teacher at the Tech in the 1950's and also my Home Ecomonics Teacher at Beech Hill College from 1980 -1985. A legacy of students passed through her classroom. A family friend and neighbour. Rest in Peace.

Sincere sympathy to the family of Miss Mc Kenna.She was strict but a brilliant teacher.Everyone who passed through her class left with some life skills.Whether it was the makings of a Cordon Bleu cook or to know no jewellery in class, hair tied back and your apron spotless.She started out with some very raw material but somehow managed to create middling students out of us.Rest in peace Miss Mc Kenna.
