Dominic - always so friendly and welcoming - forever a True Gentleman and Friend Supreme to many - with a wonderful smile radiating great goodness, kindness, humour, wit, sincerity and a strong Faith and for whom Family was all-important. Among the treasured memories we have of Dominic - meeting with Dominic and one of his sons at the Star Ballroom for a photo with Johnny Logan. What a true privilege it was to record a radio interview with Dominic and Teresa in the company of Mairéad and Claire Galvin at Dublin's Clarence Hotel some years ago. In memory of Dominic we shall arrange to rebroadcast this magnificent feature within the next fortnight on Cork Music Station during which Dominic recalled outstanding memories of the Star Ballroom. Clearly Dominic has truly enriched the lives of All in a most wonderful manner. God rest his gentle Soul. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.

I am very sorry to hear of Dominic s passing .He was always kind and full of life and good humour .After a night s work in the STAR our dad used to bring home the left over cakes after the Thursday night dance - we had the best lunch in school next day ! Dominic was a wonderful personal friend of mine and during my surgical training in UCC, I often travelled to The Star to play music with our band before the main act.
