Don was a wonderful colleague, very generous and supportive. An excellent academic and very humble in all his undertakings. I enjoyed working with him in UCD for more than 20 years. He will be sadly missed. My sincere sympathy to his family and friends.
So sorry to learn of the sudden death of Professor Don Cruickshank, a remarkable scholar and former colleague at UCD. We extend our deepest sympathy to all his family.

I am so sorry for your loss. Don was a lovely, gentle, person who will be deeply missed. I will be always grateful for his kindness and support. My thoughts are with his family and friends at this time.
On behalf of all of his former colleagues in the School of Languages, Cultures and Linguistics at UCD, I wish to extend our heartfelt condolences and deep sympathy to the family and friends of Professor Don Cruickshank. Don was a gentleman, and a kind and erudite colleague. He will be greatly missed.
