To the O' Grady and O' Connor families, sincere condolences on the passing of one of the finest hurlers to play hurling for Clare and Munster. He was a hurling legend and his incredible fitness was unparalleled in that era. I was a young boy following Clare in the fifties. Donal was a colossus at centre half back for Clare during those glory days.

Sorry to learn of the passing of a Clare hurling giant.I remember getting our first radio in 1954 & as a young lad I was enthralled hearing names like O'Grady,Nugent Smyth etc..May they all rest in peace.

I grew up listening to my Father reminiscing about watching his great hero Donal O Grady money was tight in the 50s but Dad followed Clare everywhere and in his onion Donal was a God no one better in any County
