God bless my Uncle Donald. Although we never met, I still feel I knew him. My mother, Mary Elizabeth Clarke, nee Munnelly. was his half sister. George Munnelly was their father but they had different mothers. My mother`s mam was Bridget Hoban, 1893-1932. Donald`s mam was Annie Lynn, 1899-1948. Only James Muredach is left now of all the Munnellys and I keep in touch with him. The MaGowan girls visited Donald in hospital and went to see Donald`s brother Alan as well before he died, God bless them. Farewell uncle.

Fond memories of a neighbour from so long ago now, a gentle man who loved his dogs and his pint and could be encouraged into a few bars of the same song from time to time...pick a bale of cotton, .a great photo of Donald in his prime, Rest In Peace Donald.
