I am sorry and saddened to hear this news. Eilish was meticulous and dedicated in her profession as well as a kind, funny and loyal friend outside. It has been my privilege to have have known her for more than 40 years. My condolences to James, Luke, Sorcha, Cormac and Gerry as well as to Mrs. Cleary, Brid, Kevin, Siobhan and Fiona. Rest soft, lovely lady.

I have the fondest memories of Eilish as a close college friend from 1980-86 and the most wonderful holiday after we qualified in Morocco with Jacquie Khoo and Anne Ward. We studied, partied and holidayed together and I’ll always treasure those times and the hospitality in the family home in Malahide. My condolences to all the Clearys and let’s celebrate a wonderful life and a special friend. May you Rest peacefully.

Sincere condolences to Dr Cleary's partner, children, family and friends on her passing. Her work has left a legacy that won’t be forgotten by those she endeavoured to help. A good heart has stopped beating, but a heart that has touched so many lives can’t help but live on in those it loved.

I am so very sorry to hear of Eilish’s passing. I knew her well during our time as members and officers of the TCD badminton club but unfortunately we lost contact after we finished college. My deepest condolences to all the family.

I often sat next to her on the 42 bus from Malahide to town as we went to college in the early '80s. She always smiled and chatted and had a big backpack of books and study notes.
