Dear Renata Graziella Catherine and Peter
Please accept my condolences on the passing of John. I have very fond memories of parties he and the family held in Orwell Rd and the many meetings we had when in school College and later in Churchtown. My husband Fergus also thought highly of John. They got on well.
Thank you John for raising the awareness of MD.

Although I had not seen John in person for some time, I always knew he was at the end of the phone if I needed a listening ear. John played a key role in campaigning for the rights of disabled people and their families over many years, He was passionate about working with others to bring about systemic and sustainable change in MDI, GDIL, IWA and ILMI.
Equally, John was a friend who will be missed by me and his friends in the disabled community. Thank you John for your wisdom and your witty sense of humour. I would like to extend my sympathy to John's children, his mother, his extended family, his Personal Assistants and his many friends.
Rest in peace John. .

Deepest, heartfelt, sympathies to Peter and all the Roche Family. John was always such a gentle, gracious and welcoming presence. In my memories of him in school days - he was both interesting; and, always so interested in others. And crossing paths later in life he had a remarkable memory for all - and such a genuine personal way. He will be deely missed I know - as he was so much loved. May he rest in peace - and shower his family with his blessings. Always.

Such a side time for John's family, friends and all who knew him. I had the pleasure of working with John over many years at PUNCH. He was the very essence of the analytical structural engineer with such an abiding sense of curiosity of how to defy gravity!
