Thinking back to the carefree days down Heytesbury Lane where I was first introduced to the Callanans Martin & Geraldine in their lovely home by my sister Valerie who was giving Horticulture advice, over the following years I stayed in their home while they were away on Holiday . It was a pleasure to know them both and always enjoyed calling by . Martin was a quirky, dapper gentleman with a caring nature his love of art, , animals especially his cats his medical backround always had a story or sound advice to give. To Geraldine in thought always, Anne, Liesy and all the extended Callanan & O 'Leary family sincere sympathy on your great loss. May Martin's gentle soul rest in peace.
— Albert

I wish to send heart felt thanks to a wonderful caring person who often visited my mum Mary at home or in hospital. He was a very important person in shaping my career in the Royal city of Dublin hospital, Baggott St. Where he was highly regarded by the matron, Miss Corbett. I qualified as a nurse there and as a midwife in Scotland but sadly when work took me to Wales and marriage kept me there I sadly was not able to meet Dr. Martin. I will be forever grateful for his kindness to our family. Sincere condolences to Geraldine and the family, you are in our prayers.
