Very sad to hear about the passing of Dr. Patrick McCann. I worked as a secretary in the X-ray department of the Mater Hospital from 1979 until 2019 and he was always a pleasure to work with. I typed many thousands of radiology reports for him. I was also fortunate to attend musical get togethers in his home, he played the piano beautifully. I sang at his daughter's wedding many years ago. Condolences to all his family. May he rest in peace.
— Jenny Wilson
Condolences to Grainne and my cousins John, Michael, Rosemary, Anne Marie and Sheena. Before I emigrated to Canada I did a lot of babysitting for the children as I was the oldest cousin. Uncle Paddy was a great piano player and some of my great memories was when I went home on holidays we had very large family gatherings when my mother (Teresa) played the accordion and Nick Joe and Paddy played he piano. I have no doubt he was met at heavens gate by his mother Bridget and father Nick plus all his sisters Vera, Teresa and Clare plus his brothers Joe, Nick and Frank. The end of a wonderful era for The McCanns - until we meet again.
— Joan Breen

He had a huge and lasting influence on my career. He was a brilliant teacher and a wise councillor but, above all, a true friend. We will all miss him. Jerry Kelleher.
