I was very sad to hear of Dr. Roger's sudden passing. I was a patient of hers in Hume Street and in her consulting rooms for many years. It's not often that one looks forward to a medical appointment but as well as being a caring and attentive doctor, Sarah was such great fun and we had lovely chats. It was noticeable that in any interaction with more junior staff, she was always extremely supportive and appreciative of them which I'm sure contributed to building their confidence. I can only imagine how much she will be missed by her family and friends.
— Gráinne Madden

The Association of Medical and Dental Graduates of RCSI learned on the recent and untimely death of our dear friend and colleague. Sarah was President of the Association in 2008/2009 and remained an active Committee Member until her death. She was passionate about the role of the Association in forwarding the interests of the College of Surgeons and its graduates.

Our lasting memory of Sarah will be her smile, good humour, eloquence and crystal -clear mind. All of these attributes were wonderfully demonstrated when she delivered the Sir William Taylor Lecture in RCSI on 27 April 2023. This lecture- Medicine in Antiquity- built on Sarah's expert knowledge of classic civilisation. She had many qualifications in medicine but she was also thrilled to receive a Master's in Philosophy in Classics, from TCD, on 5 April 2023.

A graduate of RCSI of Class of 1968, Professor Rogers became a consultant dermatologist, specialising in the management of complex psoriasis. She had a lifelong interest in dermatology, and served on numerous committees.
.
Professor Rogers had many hobbies, not least engaging in fun conversations with her wide circle of friends and colleagues. She loved singing in the Irish Doctor's Choir, opera and choral music, and travelling the world. To her husband Mike, daughter Etain, brother Tom, and the wider family circle, we extend our deepest sympathies. May she rest in peace..
