So sorry to hear of the passing of our great neighbour and family doctor, Dr. Dillon. We greatly enjoyed his ebullience during Tidy Towns litter pick and painting expeditions. He was a very caring doctor and never turned away a patient; once even triaged a stray dog for Ciara! He will never be forgotten. Our sincerest condolences to Betty, Michael, Mairéad, Sinéad and all the extended family. Beannacht Dé lena anam uasal.

Michael, sorry to hear this news. Your dad tended to us as he did so many, but I'll remember him more as a welcoming neighbour, whatever shenanigans we got up to growing up in Coomlogane. Those O'Neills footballs were a constant threat to windows and shrubs. Thoughts with you, Betty, Mairead and Sinead.
— Feilim Maxwell, New Jersey

Sincere sympathies to Betty and Family on the passing of Dr Dillon. He was such a kind man. As a child when I was ever sick and would have to go to the doctor, because of him I used to look forward to going. Firstly to be greeted at the door by Betty and then in to see Dr Dillon himself. It was like calling to see family friends not the doctor!
May he Rest in Peace.

I was deeply saddened to hear that Dr.Dillon had passed on. Our family doctor for many years, as kids we delighted in seeing him arrive on his powerful BMW motorcycle dressed in appropriate leathers and, if memory serves, silver helmet! No other town had a doctor like him, I bet! A lovely man, brightened up Millstreet in the mid 70s. I loved his way and his accent and sense of humour. He diagnosed (officially) my colourblindness which changed my path in life…
May Steve Rest In Peace.

I discovered what a 'true professional' Dr Dillon was whilst my father was in his care. He was a great humanitarian and his words still ring in my ear. Also ringing in my ears is the wind as I flew through it, on the back of his 'super bike' on the many occasions he picked me up outside the Limerick Regional Hospital, and dropped me at my door in the West End. The only 'catch' being that I didn't tell my mother. I didn't!!!
May that lovely man rest in peace.
