As neighbours children we all grew up together on Decies Rd and I have fond memories of those great innocent times as well as that of wonderful parents.

Eamonn was a quiet man; a gentleman. His was not the path of rocket science or nuclear physics, preferring as he did, to concentrate on his potatoes. He was intelligent beyond his years, and a whispered word or a nod of the head would put you at your ease. He had a smile to brighten up any universe, and as he stands before the gates of heaven, shopping bag in hand, he’ll tell the person in charge that he’s looking for a fridge. Sleep well, my friend. Journey over, another just beginning.
