So sorry and shocked to hear of Eddie’s passing! First met him when he was part of the Bective all conquering Class 1 side in the 1960s. Since then met him irregularly - most recently in St. Marys LTC. Always a gentleman and a genuine sportsman. My condolences to his family and to his brother Jim. Clearly Eddie gave much of his time to worthy causes, who will now be poorer without his input. RIP

It is a great sadness to hear of Eddie's death. An absolute gentleman of quiet disposition. He worked quietly and very effectively in Balally and always a pleasure to contribute to St Vincent de Paul society when Eddie was on duty. Eddie will be sorely missed by everyone in Balally who knew him. Thank you Eddie for all you did for our community.
