Eddie (Edward) Campion

I am so very sorry to hear of Eddie's passing. I have wonderful memories of my time with Dolphin. It was a huge part of my life for many years and Eddie (Mr. Campion) was a huge part of that. My deepest condolences to all of his family. May he rest in peace.

My sincere sympathy to the Campion family on the death of Eddie and also Rita. I have happy memories of my time with Dolphin in Eglinton Street in the 60s & early 70s. I am forever grateful to them for their swimming teaching and coaching. Thanks to them both I have enjoyed a life time of swimming and watersports. May they rest in peace

We will miss you Eddie - from Lee Swim handicapper in the 60ies to official starter in recent years, from sporting a necklace of stopwatches in Eglington Street to the President's green blazer. You were always there with a word of praise ("not a bad swim"), or a word of advice ("maybe you could do with a bit of training"). I am so sorry to hear of the sad passing of Eddie and so soon after his beloved wife Rita . He was such a lovely person and when we'd meet he was so engaging. Both he and Rita did their best to teach me to swim with varying degrees of success. All my fault not their may I say. I was always the better for meeting him.
