Deepest sympathy to all the family
— Sean & Theresa Gleeson
It was with sadness and sorrow that I learnt of the passing of Ned Cahill. Ned was a kind, caring and thoughtful person, always ready to lend a helping hand in whatever way he could. On a personal basis he got me out of a hole when I accidentally broke a wing off an Angel which adorned a porcelain antique clock given as a wedding present. Ned invited me down to his workshop and produced this miracle adhesive he had discovered (Araldite) and duly with great accuracy, skill and dexterity reaffixed the broken wing back in its place where it remains to this day about forty years later and until now only known to Ned and myself.
Sincere condolences to Ned's family, May he Rest in peace.

Sincere sympathy to Tom, Michael and all the Cahill family. I worked with Ned in the pharmacy in the Guinness Medical Department for 15 years and became a good friend of his. He was a gentleman. He had a great sense of humour and would often entertain us with stories of the "characters" who had worked in the Brewery over the years. He had an encyclopedic knowledge of all things technical and generously helped colleagues with car problems, old clocks etc. Mary and I have very happy memories of our time working with Ned.
— Brian and Mary McMahon
Ned,rest in peace. You were such a gentle man and kind to a fault.Your interests were so wide ranging and detailed and to a young pharmacist you were so helpful each day.To your family please accept my sympathies and that of my father who also valued Ned's company.

So sad to hear this news today. Ned was a great friend to my Dad, Edward (Ned, also) over their many years together in the Guinness medical centre. He was a frequent visitor to our home at No. 5, always a great person to chat with and someone who had time for everyone, no matter what age. He taught me to drive when I was a teenager and I always remember his infinite patience. I would like to attend the Mass whenever it takes place and please let me know of any details. My mobile number is 086 2597359.
My thoughts are with both Thomas and Michael at this difficult time and their extended families. Solas Mhic Dé ar a n-anam.

Sincere sympathy to all the Cahill family. I worked with Ned for 10 glorious years in the Guinness Pharmacy and from the affairs of pharmacy to repairing old clocks and not forgetting the few pints on a Friday night, I learned everything I know from him. Its nice to see so many familiar names from those days posting. I would love to attend the funeral Mass later. Tel 086 3344878
