Ned was a lovely man and always in smiling to everyone in streets of Wexford town. A great character all round as often seen his faithful dog of an english springer spaniel walked to Wexford bridge over the Ely area for his faithful companion to fetch its ball from river slaney and often seen in his bicycle with step ladder to do the rounds of paints or window cleaning. Never seen the likes of him again. God rest you in peace and your family at this saddest time. Rest in peace Ned. We will never forget you in our minds. Patrick Whelan formerly iof 96, North Main Street, Wexford

My sincere condolences on the loss of the lovely Ned.
He was one of those characters that seasoned & brightened the days of those he greeted, years ago on his bicycle off to paint something, latterly on his walker, basking in the sun on the corner.
He was an incredible man.
