Sorry to hear of the passing of Ted Spendlove. A wonderful, always happy and positive, man.
We spent many an hour in Pearse Street library researching the Spendlove family history. For me, a largely paper search, was brought to life by Ted's memories and acquired knowledge from the Spendlove and Bentley families who came over from Derby so long ago. Sadly we were never conclusively able to confirm any link with The Tower of London - despite The Tower Dairy, The Tower Bus Company, Tower Villas etc.
Our condolences to Barbara and the family. Celebrate a great man who lived life to the full. Happy memories.
