Always a pleasure to meet and chat with Eileen, a familiar sight walking up that steep Ardnaculla hill with her shopping until very recently ... on the odd occasion that she accepted a lift she would often reward the favour with a few eggs.
A long life well lived, doesn't make the parting any easier, but treasure the lovely memories she has left behind. RIP Eileen, you will be sadly missed as we pass up and down.

I know Eileen since she spent a few weeks with us in1950. She was Godmother to my late brother John. I was often in the Neylon house in Maghera and slept there a few times. I was at the Church last evening. Sadly I am not well acquainted with the younger generation. May Eileen's gentle Soul Rest in Peace with her parents, Tom and Bridget, her brother PJ and sisters Mary, Josephine and Margaret.

Deepest sympathy to the entire Crawford family. I met Eileen 53 years ago when I moved to Arnaculla from America
@ the age of 13 to take care of my grandmother Sarah Curry who lived across the street from the Crawford's Homestead. She was always looking after me making sure I was taking care of and didn't get into any trouble.
After I moved backed to America I always received a Christmas card from her every year. I would always look forward to visiting Eileen every year when I traveled
back to Ireland.. I loved eating her homemade brown bread & sausages with a cup of tea and listening
to some traditional Irish music. She always gave me a dozen of eggs & a loaf of brown bread to take back to America with me. She had the best stories of my father and his family growing up. Eileen will truely be missed. She was a gentle soul. May she Rest In Peace!
