Such sad news and a shock which goes to prove one should always keep in touch better. Eileen was quite simply fabulous, glamour and brains combined with empathy and fun. We met often when my husband was producing and directing all the entertainment shows around RTE, and for coffee after that - but not often enough. I can hardly imagine how much she is missed by her beloved children and all those who knew her. RIP

To Eileen's children -
Although i don't know you, I was very shocked to learn today of your beautiful mother's untimely passing.

I have often thought of seeing her many years ago on TV, sitting playing her piano with poise & elegance and also walking by the seashore.
Her acceptance & dignity was remarkable, at a most difficult time.

To you, her children - my heartfelt sympathy - you were privileged to have had such a mother who now wears the crown she has truly won.
xxxx you were a great lady Eileen, now rest in peace.

My sincere condolences to the children of Eileen Murphy (née Dixon) on her passing.
My memories of Eileen go way back to Skerry’s College on St Stephen’s Green in the 1950s. She was a beautiful girl then and when I met her In later years in ‘Studio Fifty Four’ in Bray she was still as beautiful. She carried herself through her trauma with such grace and dignity. A really lovely lady. I am so sad for you all at the loss of your beloved Mum. I will remember her in my prayers.
I know Yvonne, Eileen, and Marie will join with me in this message of sympathy.

My memory takes me back to around 1975 when I moved to live in Cabinteely. I vividly remember this beautiful looking, well groomed and stylish lady at mass in Cabinteely and upon enquring was told who she was. A lasting impression was created then and lessons learned.
Rest in peace.
