It is with great sadness to learn of he passing of Eithne Kearney , Sincere and deepest sympathy to the Kearney and the Mc Donald families and their extended families. To Dermot, Liz, Adrianne Francis and Ann I extend a heart felt sympathy. Eithne's passing stirred many memories for me as young boy in times past and of her parents Frank and Nancy Mc Donnell from Coosan. Frank Kearney was a well known Master Coach builder and French Polisher who worked in the old Lysters and later on the civilian staff of Custume Barracks, I have many memories during the late 50s and early 60'ps having to go to the Old Lysters shop to buy powered wood stain and shading powder and varnish, and then to Kearney's in Excise street to get Frank to Mix the stain to the correct shading and consistancy, and sometimes to borrow additional graining and staining rubber's and graining combs for my Father who also worked in Lysters .Invariably Eithne and Helen ( RIP) would answer the door and sometimes Dermot, Frank was also an accomplished musician and sometimes the music could be heard on Excise street. Remembering the Deceased members of the Kearney Family at this time also.May they all rest in peace.
