On my many visits to Inistioge Church through the years I always received a very special and warm welcome from Gertie. She was graciousness embodied. I had such respect for her faith and gentle integrity through the travails as well as the joys of life. And we had always those happy moments to recall places we both loved in West Cork. Truly a woman greatly beloved.
