I have many memories of chatting to your lovely Mum Betty by the school yard South Pres as she was waiting to collect or having accompanied you down to school in the morning, smiling, hair tied back and engaging with me on many occasions in the sunshine. I have never forgotten her and I have often wondered how she was, May Betty Rest In Peace. Thinking of you all throughout this difficult time, Theresa.

We were very sad to hear of your dear mam's passing. I (Stanley) have many fond memories of Betty - a chance meeting with a shopping bag mix-up in town (my fault), a trip to The Viaduct, and an early-morning visit are particularly nice - and painful - to recollect at this sad time. She had an infectious smile, and an engaging and vibrant way about her, with genuine warmth and generosity. She will be sorely missed and my heart goes out to all who will mourn her. A truly lovely lady, may she be long remembered and rest in peace.

When I look back on my childhood, you were a part of my fondest memories in Ireland. Now, I will cherish those moments forever. There are few that can have such a lasting impression; but your warm heart, comforting presence, captivating conversations and gentle smile were a rarity, so unrivalled, that you were second to none. I am truly saddened that you are no longer with us, and even more so regretful that we did not have many more moments together. I can only now, look back fondly on the precious memories we did share.
