My heartfelt condolences to her husband Erik, her wider family and friends. Emma was an inspirational member of our coaching course in 2022/23. Even though it was online, she lit up the screen and all the breakout rooms she was in; she showed such compassion, support, leadership and intelligence in all that she did. I will really miss our interactions and I am so sad the world has lost her brilliance way too early. May she rest in peace.

Devastated to hear of Emma’s passing. We had such fun times when I lived in Galway…my mid week running buddy and so many great nights out.. Emma was so full of life, care free and always made you laugh. I can’t imagine how difficult this is for her husband and family, thinking of you all.

Erik, Kathleen, Susan and Orla. There are no words...we are so deeply saddened and shocked to hear this awful news.

Emma was such a force in life! Full of passion, energy, determination and love. Love for everything she turned her hand to...her career, running, studying, her dogs, but most importantly Erik and her family. When she spoke of you all, her face lit up! She loved her neices and nephew so much too..you all brought so much joy to her in her too short life.

Emma had such a positive impact on so many people...she was a role model, a leader, a source of inspiration...she even got me into running when i thought i never could!

I have so many memories of Emma, I cant pick one...over the past few days i have thought about running with Emma, spending time in the US for a few weeks with work and not stopping laughing, playing tag rugby, her babysitting Emily as a small baby and Emma praying she didnt wake up and start crying (which she did!), helping us when Cillian was born, and a very dubious road trip back from Mayo after a Hen weekend to name a few!

We hope you all take comfort in the weeks, months and years ahead from all the stories and memories of an amazing person with the most incredible and infectious smile!

We will always carry Emma and you all in our hearts xxx

She was such a strong and determined lady whom I had the pleasure of meeting many years ago when we started fit for life in Craughwell AC. She became a great friend, and we shared many a laugh and cry while running the roads in prep for our marathon training. Emma had such a determined attitude and always had a supportive word to get us through the long runs.

It is with great sadness that we heard of her passing.

Emma will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. May her gentle soul rest in peace.
