I was very sorry to belatedly learn of Eoghan's passing -- my sincere condolences to his close family and friends; he was a man you don't meet every day. I lived with Eoghan during our first couple of years at NUI Galway, first sharing a bungalow and then sharing a room in a house. We had some long conversations during this time, which revealed to me the philosopher that lay behind his infectious and outwardly outgoing personality. He always struck me as deeply intelligent and empathetic in these moments. I'll always remember his words to me at the foot of the stairs as we parted ways: "It was a pleasure sharing life with you". The feeling is mutual. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam

To Joan, Oonagh, Rob, Siobhan, Elaine, Austin, Emer, Ben, Andrew and all of Eoghan's Nephews, Niece and all his other relations. We are still not over the shock of hearing the news of Eoghan's passing, though it has been heartening to see and hear his many friends, colleagues and relations give their stories from Eoghans life. We hope this will help lighten this terrible burden that has been placed on you all. We will always remember the music, the laughter and the joy he brought, may he rest in peace.

Joan, Oonagh, Robert, Siobhan and Elaine. It was such a shock to hear the very sad news about Eoghan. I remember him coming home to Knockroe as a tiny infant and all the years since. He was always so kind and courteous and fitted a lot of living into his too short life. He has left you all with loads of great memories and I am sure that they will keep you going in the years ahead. May he rest in eternal peace.

Deepest condolences to the Nagle family. I had the pleasure of knowing Eoghan in college in Galway. We became good mates in my final year and lived together briefly in the summer of 2011. He was a core part of our gang of friends in Galway (although he seemed to have endless groups of friends) and the centre of the craic. I had only good times with Eoghan, he was always smiling and laughing and was sure to brighten your day, no matter the circumstances.

Apart from the many fun times, he was an extremely interesting person, full of deep thoughts and strong views and never afraid to share them - an encapsulating conversationalist but ragardless of the topic, he always made you feel warm and involved when in his company. He was such a bright guy and a unique character whom it was impossible not to be drawn to given his infectious personality and smile.

Although I hadn't seen or heard much from Eoghan over the last 6 or 7 years I will miss him. He left his mark on me from the brief period I knew him as I know he did to so many other people.

With people as unique as Eoghan and the unending happiness they seem to bring to people's lives, you wonder are they simply too good for this world. I know that's not much consolation for his family who will miss him every day, but I hope they know how much joy he got from and brought to the world while he was here, as tragically short lived as his time in it was.

RIP Eoghan. You are very sadly missed.
