Ernie Crossen gave me my start in TEFL and the beginning of a 45 year career in teaching and training. He started the careers of countless others both in ELT and other careers and professions. He founded the Irish TEFL industry, and for many decades he WAS Irish TEFL. We will not see his like again

I remember Ernie from The Dublin Sch of English in Westmoreland St. His business at that time was very successful and many students returned year after year He created a strong academic ethos with school conferences , away wends for students etc , a pioneer in the teaching of English as a foreign language.
