To everyone who expressed your condolences to me and my family on the passing of both our parents, Jim Shaw on 19/06/2020 and more recently Ethel Shaw on 21/11/2022, thank you - your comfort and support, kindness and love are all deeply appreciated.
— Helena Shaw, Glasnevin, Dublin
Darling Mam (Ethel), your father celebrated your birth on 21st Oct 1925 by turning on all the lights in the family home. So surely a beautiful light went out of my life when your heart stopped beating, as I held you in my arms for the last time, on 21st Nov 2022. You were blessed to have reached the wonderful age of 97. You are with dear Dad (Jim) now in God's arms as we lost him, what seems only a short while ago, on 19th June 2020 at the great age of 94. I love you both and miss you - 'til we all meet again in the joy of God's presence - your loving daughter, Helena.
