My sincerest condolences to you all on the tragic sad passing of Fergus, such a beautiful human being whom I was so privileged to know and to work with and indeed to also socialise with on many wonderful occasions. A gorgeous man with a brilliant mind with great vision and such a caring and compassionate nature with exceptional brilliance and deep knowledge of his business while also maintaining an exceptional human touch and kindness and warmness of heart. Fergus was truly exceptional and brought so much comfort, joy and so much wisdom to so many. I was truly privileged to know Fergus and his Dad Sean and brother Larry, all of whom I had the privilege to work with closely through quite difficult and challenging but also exciting and rewarding times. Please accept my deepest sympathy to you all at this dreadfully sad time. You’re all in my thoughts and prayers and may Fergus and his gentle soul now rest in peace. John k

We were so very sad to hear of Fergus's death.

We worked with and first met Fergus when the Mater Private and Clatterbridge set up a joint venture private clinic some years ago. He was a great and very inspirational leader and someone I personally admired and learnt a lot from. He was also a real gentleman. We kept in touch post Clatterbridge and will always have very fond memories of him.

We were unable to attend his funeral today but did watch the Mass by webcam. It was a beautiful mass and a very fitting tribute.

Our thoughts are with you all at this very sad time.

— Michael Murphy
To our chosen family, we are all so heartbroken to have lost such a vibrant person in our lives - a second dad to us all.

We’ll never forget becoming part of your family during weekly play dates and times in Portugal. Ferg always made sure to get us where we needed to be in record time, he was our sleepover time-keeper reminding us it’s time to sleep as we waved him out the door to work, he nursed our green faces at the annual trip to Funderland and he never missed a gossiping session around the kitchen island - always rocking the salmon-pink shirt.

You showed us what it means to be a true bon vivant.

We’ll love and miss him always.
