Dear Peggy and Family,

Our deepest sympathies go out to you in this very difficult time. Fergus was a remarkable man who lived a remarkable life. I've never known anyone with such an appetite for life, his spirit and adventurous personality was inspiring , he was a joy to be around. I admired Fergus greatly for the man he was, a wonderful husband, father, Grandfather, brother, Uncle, friend and mentor.

Fergus left an incredible legacy and his legend will always live on. He is greatly missed by the O'Briens in Sydney.

Love
Terry O'Brien

Dearest O'Brien's - it was with great sadness to hear of Fergus's passing. A true giant of a man - in sprit, love, kindness, equanimity and grace. A man who left his mark on Dublin but more importantly, with his Darling wife, raised and nurtured a most beautiful family that carries and treasures that indomitable will and spirit. Dearly missed by the O'Brien's in Maitland Australia, and our love and condolences to Peggy, Tom, Suzanne, Michelle, Emer and Cathy.
— Patrick O'Brien
Dearest Aunt Peggy, My heartfelt sympathy goes out to you and the rest of the family at this time. I am happy my girls and I got to have tea with him last summer when we visited Dublin. We enjoyed his wonderful stories about your sun vacations and weekly dinners, his daily walks and deep faith. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Love, Maureen, Sal & children.
