Mary and I were sad to hear of Clem's unexpected passing. He was a most engaging man, deeply committed to his faith and vocation, but he had a great sense of fun and loved his interactions with those he came in contact with; he just enjoyed people from all backgrounds. Having married us in 1992, he maintained an active interest in our progress over the years. Highly intelligent and multi-talented, he will be sadly missed by all. Our sincere condolences to his family and the Redemptorist community.

Ghoill bás an Athar Clem go mór orm. Bhí aithne agam air le fada an lá. Is eiseann an sagart a théadh ar cuairt, go rialta, chuig mo dheirfiúr a bhí faoi leatrom i rith a saol de bharr dochar inchinne ó thimpist ag am a breithe: ní raibh ar a cumas comhrá a dhéanamh ach d'ainneoin sin bhí an tAthair Clem dílis dí nuair a bhí sí sa teach bhanaltrais ag deirieadh a saoil. Mhothaigh mé an bhuíoch dó de bharr a chineáltais.
Is maith is cuimhin liom deabhóid an Athar Clem agus é a rá an Aifrinn agus é ag moladh Dé lena ghuth álainn ag canadh na n-iomann.
Smaoiním air anois in éineacht le mo dheirfiúr ar neamh agus iad ag canadh moltaí Dé le chéile don síoraíocht.
Ní foláir ná go bhfuil uaigneas mór ar a mhuintir agus ar a chairde in Ord an tSlánaitheora. Déanaim comhbhrón ó chroí leo ach is cara iontach atá caillte agam féin freisin.
