Sincere sympathy to Rose,John,Collette,John Paul the Waterson & McGillicuddy families on the sad passing of your brother & best friend Rose, Fr Con ,may his gentle soul rest in peace, Marie & Pat Mahony Anglont
— Marie & Pat Mahony
When Fr Con was first ordained he came to live with my parents in Clondalkin Dublin. My mother Jeannie Maguire (nee O'Sullivan) was the youngest sister of his mother Mamie). He was appointed Chaplain to the local Convent of nuns. He was always very kind and understanding and much appreciated my mother's cooking after the food at the seminary. I purloined one of his older hats which was much envied by other nine year old lads as the all-important costume prop as a cowboy or gangster. Fr Con used to ask my father for advice as his own father had died wen he was much much younger. We moved to Glasgow and London and Brisbane Australia later and Fr Con was always in regular touch . Greatly Missed now but sure he is with Gerard, Colette, Maureen, Kathleen, Chrissy and his parents and grandparents and the rest of his family and relatives. A wonderful and very practical priest and widely loved by his sister Rose, brother John and their families. Always remembered with love and gratitude..

Naomh Barróg GAA Club was founded in the Parish of Kilbarrack Foxfield in 1974. I Met Fr.Con in Lourdes with Rose about 5 years ago as he was celebrating his 60th Anniversary of his Ordination. We had lovely chats over the course of that week in Lourdes about growing up in High street, his schooldays in the Mon & the Sem and of course his long ministry as a Priest in the Arch Diocese of Dublin.
