I have very happy memories of working with Eugene when he was a curate in St Agnes', Crumlin. With Joe Hanlon they produced the best parish magazine in the diocese, perhaps the best in Ireland! I've shared with many people a piece of his practical wisdom, given to me as a teenager 'discerning' my vocation. Our big life decisions, he said to me, are always majority decisions in our own minds and rarely unanimous. If you wait to come to a unanimous decision you will be waiting a long time. May he rest in peace and be raised in glory!

So so very sorry to hear of Douges death. He was a wonderful person and it was a great privelage to have had the pleasure to know him. My deepest sympathies to Ríona, Derina and family. Love to you all.

Fondly remembered in Celbridge for all his support and help with St Vincent De Paul .

I was so sad to learn of Eugene’s passing too late to attend his funeral. My late dad, Ciarán, was a classmate and very close friend of his, and Eugene was a loyal and kind friend to all our family. May he rest in peace.

Rest In Peace Fr Eugene,,,one lovely genuine priest with time for everyone.

So saddened by the death of this lovely man. Eugene was so supportive at the time of his friend Fr Jack (Lynch’s) illness- and at the time of Jack’s death. He was always so kind and caring, though carrying ill health himself. He made the world a far better place. May Eugene Rest In Peace.

So very sad to hear of Fr Kennedy’s passing. He was an inspirational priest, such a progressive man and forward thinker, a wonderful human being. He had a great sense of humour and brilliant story teller. Someone who brought so much goodness and unity wherever he went. He has left an amazing legacy to the parish of Laurel Lodge and parishioners. He will be greatly missed. Ní bheidh a leithead ann arís.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Fr. Kennedy. He was an amazing priest and always so good to my family. We were so so very lucky and privileged to have him as our parish priest. There was no one else like him. Make he rest in heaven now.

So sad to read of Eugene’s death in to days a irish Times, we both loved meeting him and having good fun with him, when we lived next door to Mel and Norma. All those years ago.

We would have attended his funeral but are in Durban til next week.

A great and forward thinking priest, in every way.
