Our heartfelt sympathy to the Singleton family on the passing of our dear friend Father Jerry Singleton.
We had the pleasure of knowing him since he came to Saint Anthony Catholic Church & School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He was such a kid and gentle man with a great sense of humor.
He was a great friend of Father Timothy Hannon and took great care of his friend until he passed.
He was very involved in our lives for a long time, but not long enough.
He attended almost all of our children's celebrations and special events, often times when my Mum & Dad were here from Dublin too.
Our Christmas evening dinners were the best, celebrated with family & friends and always a wonderful evening. Fr Jerry usually went home with another dinner for the next day too. We will miss you very much Father Singleton and keep your chair open at the Christmas dinner table.
Rest In Peace until we see you again, much love and gratitude for having had you in our lives Father.

We were really saddened to learn of Fr. Singleton passing at mass yesterday in St. Anthony's ,Ft Lauderdale. He was a very humble man but a very good priest and administrator . We will miss him.

My deepest sympathy to the Singleton family on the death of Fr Jerry. I met him in 1968 when I arrived from Ireland to work in St Joan of Arc school-in Boca Raton Fl. He was then Assistant priest in the parish. He was a very diligent worker - visiting the hospitals, saying school masses, besides all the rest of the duties that has to be done in a parish. He was then moved to Fort Lauderdale where he worked with high schoolers etc. After several years he returned to Boca Raton and where he instrumental in opening a treatment Center for for alcoholics.
