He had no hesitation in praying at my sisters bedside for five hours while she was dying . He stayed with her family until the end, even into the early hours of the morning. He will be remembered in all his parishes but especially Muileann na hUamhan.

I didn't know Fr John well, spent a summer retreat in St Anne's, Killenard a few years back and found him to be a deeply devout man, very humble with a gentle soul

We shared many wonderful memories as part of our friendship over 45+ years. To holidaying in West Clare, christening of new family members to as recent as marrying our Daughter in 2015.
Fr John was a very charismatic man, he touched the lives of so many that he graced his presence with. He will be dearly missed but always remembered so fondly.
