Sincere sympathy to the family of Fr. John. He was an exceptional priest to his flock and will always be remembered for his kindness and hard work. He had no hesitation in praying at my sisters bedside for five hours while she was dying . He stayed with her family until the end, even into the early hours of the morning. He will be remembered in all his parishes but especially Muileann na hUamhan.

I didn't know Fr John well, spent a summer retreat in St Anne's, Killenard a few years back and found him to be a deeply devout man, very humble with a gentle soul

We shared many wonderful memories as part of our friendship over 45+ years. To holidaying in West Clare, christening of new family members to as recent as marrying our Daughter in 2015.
Fr John was a very charismatic man, he touched the lives of so many that he graced his presence with. He will be dearly missed but always remembered so fondly.
