I was so sorry to hear this sad news on Fr McNamaras passing.
He made time for me, a stranger to him many years ago when I felt worried and anxious. He listened and he gave very sincere advice. I listened and I was always thankful for his time, his blessings of prayer and the kindness he showed - eventhough we did not meet again I did not forget.

Gerard and I offer our sincere condolences to the parishioners of Glenflesk and Moyvane (where Fr Kevin was PP for six years). I, along with my sisters Marie, Rose, Helen, brothers Joseph and Tadhg were his first cousins and grew up with him. We simply called him Kevin. We all have wonderful memories of him, especially as a young lad in Cooraclare and when he started out as a priest in all the different parishes he worked in, both Ireland and England. He loved every parish he worked in and gave 100% to every parish. His parishioners were his family. But to us his cousins, he was just one of us and we will forever miss him and wish ‘ if only we had one more day’. Rest in peace Kevin, with your beloved Mam, Dad and baby brother Peter.

Like everyone else , I was shocked & extremely saddened at the sudden passing of the wonderful Fr. Kevin. The number & sincerity of the codolences on his death shows how much he was loved & appreciated , far & wide. He radiated goodness, understanding , humour & generosity. Honoured to have had him as a guest in Cr. Park when I was Uachtarán CLG. A shining light forever !

Was privileged to park with him one summer in California some years ago in St Francis de Sales, Sherman Oaks- great priest but more importantly an good and decent man. RIP

I had the privilege to meet fr.kevin when he officiated at my Auntys funeral just a year ago he was so nice and made my aunts mass so personal and special and he had a warmth about him that made us all a little bit less sad. Fr kevin may you rest in peace. You will always be remembered.

We have happy memories of Fr. McNamara from his time in Sacred Heart Church, Western Rd. Cork. His excellent way with people, his genuine interest in all who came to the church and his pastoral manner made a lasting impression. A good priest, and not afraid to say the right thing, may he enjoy the reward of his virtues. May Our Lady of the Sacred Heart lead him safely home and comfort all who mourn him.

Since hearing of his passing last week, we have been numbed by the loss he is, not only to our family and Parish but to the greater Diocese of Kerry where he had incredible value to add. He was just simply exceptional in his vocation as a Priest, his ability to plan for the future but also his ability to manage ‘the here and now’ in how he reacted to covid over the past 2 years and what what he put in place to help and support his community and Parish was just above and beyond, but Was Fr Kevin to the core.
